Ordering
Library media staff will ensure:
Appropriate funds are used for the purchasing of all library materials.
All purchases meet the standards set forth in the MSDE Standards for Library Media Programs in Maryland.
Vendors
The County Public Schools shall not extend favoritism to any vendors. Each order shall be placed on the basis of quality, price and delivery, with past service being a factor. The school system will not knowingly conduct business with any party who has been convicted of bribery, attempted bribery or conspiracy to bribe.
No soliciting salespeople or representatives will be allowed to interview teachers during school hours regarding purchases except in special circumstances as defined by procedures established by the Superintendent.
